Treatment and Prevention of Injuries
The main purpose of sports massage therapy is to help alleviate stress and tension which builds up in the body’s soft tissue during physical activity. Sports massage can help prevent those nagging injuries that so often get in the way, whether a person is an athlete or a once-a-week jogger. It helps heal strained muscles and allow healthy ones to reach peak performance while minimising the risk of injury.
Our Sports Therapist Emma Steele offers the full range of rehabilitation and prevention treatments. Since graduating with a BSc Sports Therapy degree in 2009, she has continued to develop her skills in injury assessment, deep tissue massage and post-treatment advice, working alongside both Richard Taylor and the Harborne Rugby Club.
